We are looking for persons with Electrical Wiring, Control Panel Wiring and Mechanical Fitting Skills to join our Robot System Build Team. We are looking for 1 permanent and 1 contract person (3 months)
The role of Electrical Wireman / Control Panel Wirer is varied and involves all aspects of electrical and mechanical build of robot welding and handling systems.
As a Electrical Wireman / Control Panel Builder you will be responsible for:
- Electrical wiring of robot systems from electrical wiring schematics
- Control panel build
- Mechanical assembly of robot systems from engineering drawings
- Electrical and mechanical machine modifications
- On-site electrical installations
- On-site robot system service visits
You will take a practical, hands-on and flexible approach to your work. You will be self motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised, hard working and enjoy a challenge.
To succeed as an Electrical Wireman / Control Panel Wirer, you will have an industrial electrical engineering background with experience of electrical wiring, and control panel build and mechanical fitting experience. You must also have the ability to understand electrical wiring schematics and engineering drawings.
Ideally we are looking to recruit a multi skilled engineer who possesses an electrical background with relevant mechanical fitting skills gained in an industrial machine build environment.
You will have gained a minimum of four GCSE’s grades A – C (or equivalent) along with recognised City and Guilds or NVQ qualifications. You will also have completed a time served Electrical Apprenticeship and hold a UK driving licence.
This position would suit an applicant who has recently completed an apprenticeship in the required disciplines and is keen to expand on their skills.
You will be required to travel to customer sites throughout the UK on an occasional basis and be able to work overtime when required.
